SM Seaside City hosts Cebu Pug meet

CEBU CITY— Over 200 pugs joined the Seaside Pack Walk, October 15 at SM Seaside City Cebu in celebration of the National Pug Day that aims to create awareness for pugs and to get people to adopt them.

The National Pug Day is held every October 15. It is one of many dog and cat holidays founded by Colleen Paige which was launched in 2012.

The Seaside Pack Walk was made possible by Cebu Grumble and Island Rescue Organization.

VFI’s “Bring Back the Magic this Christmas" campaign is packed in a Xmas bag of treats

Virginia Food Inc. launches its Krunchy Chicken Selection

CEBU CITY -- Virginia Food Inc. (VFI) launched its new “Krunchy” chicken selection-- the Krunchy Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Patties, and Chicken Poppers, in a press conference with media, content creators, Vloggers, bloggers and TikTokers on October 7 at City Sports Cub with a cooking demonstration on how easy, convenient these products are for the busy moms.

“Our role is to provide the ultimate food solutions and to offer convenience and affordable, high-quality food products to the community. The company's ready-to-cook crispy chicken line provides a convenient way for people to savor restaurant-quality chicken dishes from the comfort of their homes, without breaking the bank,” Stanley Go, VFI's Vice President for Sales and Marketing said during the launching.

VFI unveiled its latest offerings to the market, the Virginia all ready to be cooked delectable, succulent, and crunchy creations that exemplify VFI's commitment to providing consumers with top-notch products that cater to a wide range of tastes.

Both kids and adults are bound to savor the Krunchy Chicken Poppers and Chicken Nuggets, which have quickly become a favored snack choice among consumers.  Meanwhile, the Krunchy Chicken Patties offer a wholesome and delicious alternative patty for burger enthusiasts.

Titay’s Rosquillos, a century-old Pasalubong favorite among Filipinos

LILOAN, Cebu – Titay’s Rosquillos is and always will be part of any “Pasalubong” favorite for Filipinos, a celebrated Cebuano delicacy sprouted from the fertile soil of humble beginnings, just like many great ventures.

In the heart of Liloan, Cebu, Titay's Rosquillos started in 1907 when a young lady, Margarita Frasco, affectionately known as Titay of Liloan, embarked on a culinary journey within the confines of her own kitchen with nothing more than common household ingredients—flour, eggs, and shortening, she concocted a secret recipe, one that would give birth to a treat beyond compare for centuries now and probably for generations to come.

Titay's generosity knew no bounds, and in a gesture of gratitude, she gifted a pair of these delectable delights with every bottle of soda purchased at her modest store.  Little did she know that this simple act would ignite a culinary revolution, tantalizing the palates of her loyal patrons and even capturing the attention of the provincial governor of Cebu himself.


When asked about the name of her exquisite creation, Titay could only offer a humble shrug. It was the governor who upon gazing at these ring-shaped wonders, christened them "rosquillos", a term inspired by the resemblance to elegant ringlets, adorned with a distinct central hole.

Such was the clamor for these newfound treasures that Titay's Liloan Rosquillos and Delicacies Inc. emerged from the shadows.  In 1963, Corazon, affectionately known as Mama Azon Frasco, assumed the reins of the business, ensuring that Titay's Rosquillos remained accessible to locals and tourists alike.

What was once a pilgrimage to the northern reaches of Cebu to savor Titay's famous rosquillos has evolved into a convenient indulgence, with these delectable treats now gracing the shelves of malls and supermarkets. The company, expanding its repertoire of delectables, has added an array of biscuits, breads, and pastries to their offerings.
