McDonald’s launches Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series

CEBU CITY— McDonald’s launched its Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series on March 10 with the new range of books features the inspiring stories of sports champions, curious scientists, and brave adventurers— people who went on to do great things, but started just like everyone else, as a child with a dream.

According to McDonald-Philippines, every outstanding personality, from scientists to athletes and artist started as a child with a dream. This is what’s captured in the new McDonald’s Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series.

After the successful “I Can Dream Big” launch event in Manila on March 16, McDonald’s also visited Cebu and Davao to inspire more children through engaging and dream-inspiring activities based on the three new books of the “I Can” book series.

The “I Can Dream Big” Cebu leg visited McDonald’s Paseo Arcenas on March 20 with guests from Sergio Osmena Daycare. The event also made its Davao stop on March 24 at McDonald’s SPMC, with guests from Brgy.23 - C Learning Center.

The highlight of each event was the live reading of the “I Can Be a Sports Champion” book led by a McDonald’s Guest Engagement Manager as the storyteller. In this first book of the series, children learn from the inspiring stories of tennis player Evonne Goolagong, racing driver Ayrton Senna, and boxer Muhammad Ali.

With the stories from the new Happy Meal Readers “I Can” book series, children and even parents are sure to be inspired to believe in the power of dreams and the possibility of making those dreams come true.

Encourage children to believe that ‘I Can too’ by collecting all three books of the series, now available with every Happy Meal purchase.  For more information about the Happy Meal Readers Program, follow McDonald’s Philippines on Facebook and Instagram. (Photos: Greenbulb/@Coleen Erfe)
