Tambuli celebrates Phil. Independence Day with heirloom dishes from Iloilo and Pampanga

CEBU CITY – Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa celebrated the 126th Philippines Independence Day, June 12, 2024 with heirloom dishes dubbed as #CooksJournal, a buffet featuring select favorite Filipino dishes from Iloilo by Maria Luisa Saludes Camiña of Camiña Balay nga Bato, and from Pampanga by Chef Howard "Howie" Dizon of Diosdado Restaurant held at the Tambuli Grand Ballroom with media friends, content creators and special guests.

Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa general manager, Estrella Eya Shrimski welcomed the guests to this unique culinary experience by bringing the northern and southern regions of the archipelago to stir and share its well-loved cuisine at Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa.

“A COOK’S JOURNAL is a feast of heritage on a plate to be served from the culinary icons of lloilo and Pampanga represented by Ms. Maria Luisa Minviluz Saludes Camiña of Avanceña-Camiña Balay nga Bato; and Chef Howard "Howie" Dizon of Diosdado Restaurant respectively and we are inspired and happy to bring this to our resort. Bon Appetit,” Shrimski said.


Feature dishes include Bulanglang, Asadong Matwa, Lapu-Lapu with Mayonesa, Pancit Molo, Guimaras Manga Pasta, Manok Maanyag Sang Sibunag, and Pork Binuog; with desserts including ube halaya, puto-sikwate and more.

A COOK'S JOURNAL is definitely a chance to taste and savor authentic Iloilo and Pampanga cuisines all in one gastronomic celebration and sharing delicious heirloom recipes that have made these culinary destinations unique, and popularly frequented by both regular patrons and traveling tourists.

The food promotion here at the Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa runs from June 12 to 30, 2024 starting with an Independence Day Lunch Buffet from 11:30 AM to 2pm at Php1,800.00 net/Person if buffet only; or at Php2,500.00 if availing the Day Use Package.
